The TRB 90th Annual Meeting Compendium of Papers is now available online. Anyone can view the nearly 2,200 papers available in the online compendium prior to the Annual Meeting. 10th International Conference on Low-Volume Roads TRB is sponsoring the 10th International Conference on Low-Volume Roads on July 24-27, 2011, in Lake Buena Vista (Orlando), Florida. The conference, held every four years, is designed to foster communication about new and innovative ways of building, maintaining, and managing low-volume road systems between practitioners worldwide in local, state, and federal agencies; universities; private firms; and international organizations. Papers from authors wishing to present at the conference are due by March 31, 2010. Papers are sought which offer a pragmatic perspective that can be applied by practitioners. Case studies, best practice reviews, and experience-based reports of innovative practices that may not be research, per se, are welcome at this conference. Transportation Services Index: November 2010 The U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics' Transportation Services Index (TSI) fell 0.1 percent in November, the latest month available, to 102.1. The TSI measures the movement of freight and passengers. The index, which is seasonally adjusted, combines available data on freight traffic, as well as passenger travel, that have been weighted to yield a monthly measure of transportation services output.
