The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) has released a letter report that explores the amount of actual and proposed funding that the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has to develop and implement its Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) initiative and how the funding has been used. The report also examines the number of staff FMCSA has employed to develop and implement CSA, and the funding and staffing resources FMCSA anticipates it will need to fully implement CSA going forward.
