Novak Djokovic, the 24-year-old Serb tennis sensation, on Sunday defeated defending champion Rafael Nadal of Spain 6-4, 6-1, 1-6, 6-3 to claim his first Wimbledon title.

With Sunday’s victory, Djokovic solidifies his new No. 1 ATP ranking and extends his 2011 record to 48-1.

This was the fifth time Djokovic and Nadal, 25, have met this year and the fifth time Djokovic has won.
