No More Oil To Leak in Gulf?

Good Morning Campers!

Happy Friday! Hope you have some fun stuff to do this
weekend. Here in the newsroom, we continue our battle with
sub-arctic temperatures. It may be 90+ degrees outside the
building, but it is a brisk 35 degrees at Morning Express World
Headquarters.

Robin is in Cleveland making appearances on behalf of the
show.
Super-sub Natasha Curry will be sitting behind the
anchor desk this morning to get your day started.

Here's what we're working on:

After 109 days, the Coast Guard says there is now virtually
NO CHANCE of more oil leaking into the gulf from that ruptured
well.
But we may not be out of the woods just yet as far
as impact on the gulf.

We have the chilling 911 call from the man who police say
opened fire and killed 8 people at a business in
Connecticut.
On one of the tapes he's heard saying he
worked for a racist company and took matters into his own
hands. You'll hear the tapes this morning.

The brutal heat will continue in parts of the south, but
meteorologist Bonnie Schneider (who is filling in for Bob)
tells us that scattered showers in some areas could bring some
relief. Thank goodness. My A/C unit was just about to put in
for vacation time.

You could be paying more for a loaf of bread the next time
you head to the supermarket. The price of wheat has surged.

Yikes! Biz guru Jen Westhoven will fill you in this morning.

If you're a guy that plans to be on the prowl tonight looking
for Ms. Right (or Ms. Right Now) you may want to pull that red
shirt out of your closet. We'll explain this morning.

So that's just a few things we're working on. Tune in at 6a
ET this morning and we'll tell you the rest.

Have a great weekend,
--Keith, Morning Express writer-producer
