Meteorologists warn the afternoon could bring more powerful storms. About 3 inches of rain fell quickly Thursday morning, flooding streets in D.C. and bringing down trees. In Gaithersburg, people in apartments had to be rescued as a tree crashed into their building.
"We're confident this suspect has ties to both Flint, Mich. and Leesburg, Va." says Leesburg Police Chief Joe Price.
Gov. Bob McDonnell is asking the federal government to deputize Virginia's state troopers to enforce federal immigration law.
