2011 TRB 90th Annual Meeting: Meeting Registration and Hotel Reservations Now Open

The registration and hotel reservations processes are now open for the TRB 90th Annual Meeting, January 23-27, 2011. TRB Webinar: SHRP 2 Naturalistic Driving Study-Assessing the Needs of Roadway Information Database Users

TRB will conduct a web briefing or "webinar" on Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. EDT that will explore TRB's second Strategic Highway Research Program's (SHRP 2) naturalistic driving study. Specifically, the webinar will seek feedback from attendees about the development of a complementary roadway information database that will link to the naturalistic driving database. TRB Webinar: Institutional Architectures to Advance Systems Operations and Management

TRB will conduct a web briefing or "webinar" on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. EDT that will explore a project developed by TRB's second Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP 2). Commodity Flow Survey Workshop

TRB is sponsoring the Commodity Flow Survey Workshop on November 16, 2010, in Washington, D.C. The workshop is designed to facilitate discussion of experiences among Commodity Flow Survey (CFS) users and to serve as a forum on potential future improvements. 6th International Driving Symposium on Human Factors in Driver Assessment, Training, and Vehicle Design*

TRB is cosponsoring the 6th International Driving Symposium on Human Factors in Driver Assessment, Training, and Vehicle Design on June 27-30, 2011, in Olympic Valley - Lake Tahoe, California. The symposium is designed to provide an interdisciplinary forum for scientific exchange between users of driving assessment tools, applications, and technology. Any researcher or practitioner working on applications of human factors in driver assessment, training, or vehicle design from perspectives of engineering, psychology, medicine, or public health who would like to present at the meeting must submit a paper by December 1, 2010.  Information on the paper submission process is available online. ACRP Call for Examples of Impacts on Practice

TRB's Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) is soliciting examples of impacts on practice--instances where airports have adopted and implemented concepts that were presented in ACRP research publications. The solicitation is part of ACRP's continuing efforts to explore the value and usefulness of its products, which are designed to help contribute to the growth and development of the airport industry. Key Transportation Indicators: Air Cargo, State and Local Expenditures Added

The U.S. Department of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) has expanded its Key Transportation Indicators with the addition of two new tables: U.S. Air Carrier Cargo Revenue Ton-Miles, a monthly measure of freight shipments on U.S. airlines, and State and Local Government Transportation Construction Value, a monthly measure of state and local government expenditures on air, land, and water transportation infrastructure.
