2011 TRB 90th Annual Meeting: NTSB Chairman Deborah Hersman, Chairman's Luncheon Featured Speaker

Deborah A. P. Hersman, Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), will be the featured speaker at the Wednesday, January 26, 2011, Chairman's Luncheon at the TRB 90th Annual Meeting, January 23-27, 2011, in Washington, D.C. The Chairman's Luncheon is the premier event and the largest single gathering at the Annual Meeting, attended by leaders in the transportation field from the United States and abroad. Hersman, who was a senior professional staff member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation before becoming a Member of the NTSB in 2004, is expected to share her perspective on transportation safety for all modes. TRB Webinar: Evaluating Airport Parking Strategies and Managing Parking Constraints

TRB will conduct a web briefing or "webinar" on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. EDT that will explore ACRP Report 24: Guidebook on Evaluating Airport Parking Strategies and Supporting Technologies and ACRP Report 34: A Handbook to Assess Impacts of Constrained Parking.  Participants must register at least 24 hours prior to the start of the webinar, space is limited, and there is a fee for non-TRB Sponsor employees. TRB Webinar: SHRP 2 Naturalistic Driving Study-Assessing the Needs of Roadway Information Database Users

TRB will conduct a web briefing or "webinar" on Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. EDT that will explore TRB's second Strategic Highway Research Program's (SHRP 2) naturalistic driving study. Specifically, the webinar will seek feedback from attendees about the development of a complementary roadway information database that will link to the naturalistic driving database.
