Good Morning Campers! Hope you are having a great morning today.
Robin's blackberry is on the fritz right now because of an e-mail outage at work, so I'll be stepping in as today's newsletter understudy. But don't worry:
Robin will be on the air at 6a ET. Here's what we're working on at
Morning Express World Headquarters:
We are getting our first listen to the 911 calls from that
office shooting in Connecticut where 8 people were killed. There is one call from a company VP who maintained his composure even after he was shot. We will also hear from other office workers who were hiding as the shooting rampage went on.
Starting today,
BP will start pouring cement into the ruptured oil well in the Gulf. Some are calling it a major turning point in the effort to finally end the spill… others are not so sure.
We are getting some
awesome pics of the Northern Lights from our ireporters. Thanks everyone!
YOU ROCK! Check out what some of your fellow viewers sent in.
The same-sex marriage ban has been overturned in California. So what's next? We'll let you know this morning. Plus, if you have any questions about this story please go to our
facebook page, send us an
http://www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form5c.html?1, or tweet robin @RobinMeade. Who knows…we may answer your question on air.
This may be the CRIMINAL CASE OF THE CENTURY… in the world of competitive eating. A Japanese eating champ will be in court today… remember he was arrested after rushing the stage at the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest. Hopefully the hot dog vendors outside of the courthouse are stocked up.
So that's the short and sweet of it today. We are working on a lot more stories to get your morning started right. So tune in, won't ya?
Later,
Keith, Morning Express with Robin Meade writer-producer
